DESCRIPTION
BULB:
ovoid-globose, 5-6 cm
in diameter; scales (yellowish) white, ~ovate.

BESCHREIBUNG
Zwiebel: rundlich, 5-6 cm im Durchmesser; Schuppen (gelblich)
weiss, ~oval.
|

STEM: 60-150 cm,
smooth.

Stängel:
60-150 cm, glatt.

LEAVES: 4-12 in a whorl
plus some additional ones scattered, oblong-oblanceolate, 10-18 x 2-4 cm, apex
acuminate.

cm, Apex zugespitzt.

FLOWERS: 4-12 in a
raceme, nodding, with shiny texture, fragrant. Tepals,
strong revolute, yellow to orange, speckled brown, ~lanceolate, 30-40 x 10-15
mm, very fleshy, with papillose apex; nectaries not papillous. Filaments shorter
than tepals, yellow; anthers purple; pollen yellow. Seeds delayed hypogeal
germination. Flowering time ~July. 2n=24.

4-12 in einer Rispe, nickend, mit glänzender Textur, duftend. Tepalen
stark zurückgeschlagen, gelb bis orange, braun gepunktet, ~lanzettlich,
30-40 x 10-15 mm, sehr fleischig, mit papillösem Apex; Nektarien nicht
papillös. Filamente kürzer als Tepalen, gelb; Antheren purpurn; Pollen
gelb. Samen verzögerte unterirdische Keimung. Blütezeit ~Juli. 2n=24.
